So a bit of context. This is a group of new hires from work getting together for the first time to play so no one has really any idea what the other’s playstyle was. We ended up having a party of five consisting of a halfling fighter, human druid, a viking styled human barbarian, a young wood elf monk that had no right to be drinking at his age, and a robed and hooded lizardfolk rogue [myself].
This is what happened the first time the group ended up staying at an inn.
Barkeep[GM]: What will you guys be having?
Young monk: I’ll have a tankard of ale.
Viking: I’ll have ten tankards!
Druid: I’ll have a bottle of liqueur.
The conversation devolved as the barkeep got distracted before getting back to business.
Barkeep[DM]: So, will you be needing rooms for the night?
Young Monk: One room please!
As the group discusses who would sleep where in the room, the lizardfolk quietly slides the barkeep 5 silver.
Rogue Lizard: One room please.
Barkeep[DM]: I completely understand
Young monk[OOC]: I just need to meditate so I won’t need the bed
Viking[OOC]: I’ll just sleep on the floor
Druid[OOC]: I’ll sleep under the bed
Halfling[OOC]: I’ll sleep in the corner
Rogue Lizard[OOC]: Bed of course
DM: Congratulations, the lizardfolk is the most civilized of the party.
