Concept: a bunch of high school Satanists get drunk in the local graveyard and try to conjure a demon, but they’re using one of those “reconstructionist” ritual books that gets its sources all mixed up, so they end up with a minor Mithraic fertility spirit that hasn’t spoken with humans in like 1700 years instead. By the terms of its binding it’s not allowed to leave until it’s ensured a successful harvest for its summoners, which is a problem, because none of these goobers have ever raised so much as a houseplant; if it wants to go home, it’s going to have to teach them how to garden – whether they want to learn or not!

#story feels #they’re city kids every last one#its not so much that the diety wants to go home#as she has a job to do and she will do it#it takes the train and two busses before the deity finds an abandoned farm to suit her purposes#the farm house is a hulking monstrosity of peeling paint#and abandoned funiture covered by ancient floral sheets#(the sheets are from the 60s and 70s so totally ancient to the kids)#the house isn’t as abandoned as the fields#there is something there with a dry whispery voice#no vandal has made a mess in the house#not one drop of paint has been sprayed #there is no wifi#no modern farm equipment#just old tools covered in rust with faded wooden handles#each drop of blood and sweat that falls to the earth #the deity claims as hers#the soil turns dark ready for seeds to be sown #which is kinda a problem#because the kids cant decide what to grow #they argue over wheat and peas#corn and pumpkins #strawberries would be nice #but one of them is allergic#the deity wanders off to take tea with the little house goblin#and the ghost that wanders the halls#she tugs at the teather binding her to this group of kids #that really hasn’t a clue#and sips her tea (tags via @typhoidmeri)

i think it was lost in the anime adaptation how genuinely confused hohenheim was when he came back. like in brotherhood he seems so stoic and All Knowing but in the manga he’s just like i dont get it….wheres my house…last time i was here i had a wife and a house where are they…….

i can not believe they cut this flawless dialogue

@therealfeedback

Manga Hohenheim was a glorious dork, and as much as I love FMAB, one of my few gripes with it is that as much as we got cool stoic Hohenheim, we didn’t get much of

oblivious

dorky
