If you are not already reblogging PSAs to help your Jewish friends/followers receive word about safety during this wave of neo-Nazi cyberbullying, please do so.

This includes neo-Nazi URLs to block and things to do to avoid being exposed to triggers.  There have been a number of these fucks using the submit feature to send graphic images of our dead–primarily from the Holocaust–to us.  This has been happening with increased frequency since Yom HaShoah, the Jewish day of mourning for those we lost in the Holocaust.

At minimum–and we should not have to do this, but staff is doing jack shit to protect us–all Jewish users should take the following precautions:

1) Turn off anonymous asks

2) Turn off the options to submit photos, videos, or audio

3) Block the following users– (PLEASE ADD ANY NEO-NAZI URLS YOU FIND OUT AND CROSS THEM OFF AS THEY DISAPPEAR.  These fucks are deleting and restarting almost as soon as we can block them because Tumblr staff hasn’t been taking action to bar their IP addresses)

Vic Mignogna’s Misconduct: The Visual Evidence & More

Reasons why you should sign this petition to have Vic Mignogna removed from the Free! English dub casting:

1. Vic admits to refusing to sign homoromantic pieces of art depicting characters he’s voiced in this video. Someone pro-LGBTQIA or at least tolerant of homosexuality wouldn’t discriminate between art depicting straight or gay relationships. 

2. Vic said: “yaoi fans are desperate for attention.”

3. Vic dodges question about whether he agrees with gay marriage. Apparently gay marriage is only okay if everyone has voted for it. 

4. Vic desperately tries to deny that two characters (one which he has voiced) are gay by lying about his ability to speak Japanese. He also assumes gay relationships can only be sexual. Clamp is a Japanese manga-artist group that seeks to normalise gay relationships and TVtropes lists many reasons why Fai/Kurogane can be interpreted as a gay relationship, making comparisons with gay couples within Clamp’s canon. 

5. While some gay fans have reported that Vic’s been professional with them, others have been disappointed by Vic’s homophobia. One fan reports that Vic called him and his boyfriend a ‘disappointment from God.‘ 

6. Video of Vic saying he made a Holocaust joke and refused to apologise. Got offended when a fan called him anti-Jewish.

7. Youtube videos of Vic kissing under-age girls without asking how old they are.

8. Video of Vic behaving in a flirtatious/sexual manner toward an under-aged girl. The scene they are acting out is one that originally takes place between two teenagers in Ouran High School Host Club. Vic is a fifty-two-year-old man. 

9. Picture of Vic kissing a girl who clearly doesn’t want Vic’s attention.

10. A blog that documents the experiences of anonymous under-aged girls who have been sexually assaulted by Vic and other people’s negative (or sometimes positive) experiences with the voice actor.

11. Another extremely detailed account of Vic groping fan girls and getting into a fight.

12. One of the ex-moderators of Vic’s fan club ‘Risembool’ Rangers said he invited her to his room when she as under-age. She wouldn’t be the first person to say this. 

13. Another character description from a person who used to know Vic.

14. A journalist who has friends inside Funimation lists the reasons why Vic is one of the most hated voice actors working for the company.

For clarification:

1. You cannot interact physically/sexually or have sex with a minor even if they consented. A teacher will back up this statement.

2. Being uncomfortable with homosexuality does make you homophobic. You can’t say you like gay people and then choose to treat their sexuality as something offensive because that has real life negative consequences for gay people. 

3. Holocaust jokes are wrong as told by a Jewish man.

4. Only 2 percent of rape allegations turn out to be false.

5. This post is not defamation because a lot of criticisms about Vic are based on videos/images documenting his behaviour. For legal reasons I’m neither confirming or denying that all the allegations against Mignogna are true, but personally I find it hard to believe that all these people are lying.

What you can do:

1. Sign this petition.

2. Email voice.acting@funimation.com and feedback@funimation.com. Please remember to be polite when you voice your concerns about the casting.

3. Inform FUNimation of their employee’s misconduct through twitter @FUNimation.

4. Reblog this post so others can be made aware of Vic’s behaviour and avoid him at conventions. 

Please hold celebrities accountable for their actions and put the safety of under-aged female and gay fans first. Vic shouldn’t be allowed to be a member of the Free! cast or attend conventions if he poses a threat to minors, who are Free!’s target audience. FUNimation can hire whomever they want, but they should take the welfare of their consumers and customers into consideration when hiring staff. Mignogna’s behaviour should at least be investigated to show due diligence.

You worship a god that sent an angel of death to murder Black boys then that same god commanded the liberated masses to kill whole towns of Africans simply because they were not worshipers of him.  Your god is a fuck nigga. There is no Ark of the Covenant.  Least of all there were never any pale skin, fair haired Jews wandering about a Africa kicking people’s asses with the help of a deity and a team of angels.

K first of all, the Hebrews who were allegedly in Egypt were from Canaan, so they certainly weren’t “pale skin, fair haired”. It makes no sense to apply modern-day race politics to this story. The paleness you see in Jews today is a result of exile, rape, and intermarriage… No hebrews looked like white Europeans in the times of ancient Egypt, whether we were actually in Egypt or safe in Canaan. It doesn’t matter which narrative you buy into.

Second of all, are you implying that Jews are a made up people? Or that we made up where we’re from? How, then, are we genetically distinct as an ethno-religious group with genetic links to the levant? Where exactly did that come from?

That’s not how that works?
Even if it is fiction, there are ACTUAL PEOPLE partaking in ACTUAL TRADITIONS that surround this legend. Even if the story isn’t true, the morals and themes we as Jews take from it are very real parts of our culture and identity. So, no, you don’t get to tell jews what we are celebrating. Again, there are strict prohibitions IN THE BOOK WE READ ON PASSOVER and IN OUR LAWBOOKS regarding us NOT being allowed to celebrate the deaths of the Egyptians in the passover story (or any other enemies we’ve had throughout history, for that matter) and there is a memorial for them within the Seder. So you literally have 0 idea of what you’re saying.
You can’t tell us that our holiday is about something it patently is not about. You can’t hijack our holiday and purposely misinterpret it for your own reasons and then tell us we’re wrong about our own traditions – that’s called erasure. The story itself being untrue in your opinion does not mean our interpretation of it is any less relevant. We’ve been doing this as a people for a long fucking time and it has never been about taking joy in the death of anyone, and you’re certainly not showing up in fucking 2015 to tell us otherwise.

I would express my surprise that Passover has turned into a shit show on Tumblr, but I’m really not surprised. If even Yom Hashoah can’t be respected, why should I expect Passover to be? Nope, at this point all I have left is bored disappointment and appreciation of Jumblr’s takedowns.

There’s a post on Passover going around right now (not seen on my dash except as debunking and calling out the OP, thankfully) that is one of the most appallingly antisemitic things I have read coming out of supposedly antiracist circles.

I am too tired to properly explain how disheartening I find this and how angry it makes me, but know that I do and it does. Know also that it is not coming out of a vacuum. And, my Jewish friends, this is my periodic reminder that I will try hard to have your back, and to remind my fellow goyim to do the same. I fall down on it sometimes. I get tired, I don’t always see what I should see when I am scanning my dash. That’s on me.

Fellow goyim: speak up when you see it, as you would for any other marginalised group. So many of my Jewish friends feel unsafe even bringing up the issue of antisemitism in progressive spaces, and over the years, I have seen it get worse rather than better. Push back. Listen.

MADISON, Wis. -More than two dozen Madison families woke up to vulgar language and ethnic and racial slurs spray-painted on their property Saturday.

At least 30 west side homes – including garage doors, driveways and vehicles – were vandalized overnight, according to Madison Police Officer David Dexheimer. The complaints came from areas west of Gammon Road, including Colony Drive, Millstone Road, Harvest Hill Road and others. The damage is estimated at well over $10,000.

“I think we’re talking about felony types of damage,” Dexheimer said.
While most of the damage included profane language and explicit drawings, several contained racially-based and anti-Semitic slurs and swastikas. Some of that property damage, located on Brule Circle, has neighbors in the community calling the incident a hate crime.

“Everyone in the neighborhood is pretty upset,” says Jim Stein, a neighbor who has lived on the street for 18 years.

Stein woke up Saturday morning to see “F—- Jews” written on a garage door right across the street. Later in the day, once the snow cleared, a swastika was visible on the driveway.

"It was, of course, extremely disturbing to me,” said Stein, who is the president of the Jewish Federation of Madison. “This is anti-Semitic to the extent people feel comfortable equating Jewish people or the Jewish religion with sexual terms and sexual parts of people’s bodies.”

Madison officers say the case is not being considered a hate crime at this point.

“It just looks like it’s malicious damage,” Dexheimer said. “While some of the things painted were troubling, we don’t know that was specifically targeted to a particular victim.”

Jim Stein isn’t convinced. He says the vulgar language and swastika just across the street are too close for comfort.

“To me, that reeks of anti-Semitism, and that’s an important wake-up call for the city of Madison,” he says.

This happened within a mile or two of where I live. This is basically being treated as a blurb by local news and as you can see, local law enforcement (and several local news sources) are treating it like regular graffiti and that any racial components or antisemitism as just sort of there and sure, it’s ‘troubling’, but clearly not troubling enough to treat as a potential hate crime.Typical Madison.

I want to emphasize again how much I hate living in the Diaspora. I’m just thankful that it hadn’t happened in my neighborhood, especially since we have a mezuzah outside our door :/
