im reblogging this again because i just remembered that artemis fowl hates being a Human Being With Feelings so much that he emotionally and mentally devastated *several* psychologists so badly that they gave up the profession, just because he didn’t want to admit that his father being declared dead and his mother falling into severe untreated mental illness such that she couldn’t recognize him on most days might, maybe, have upset him a little.
because in literally every book of the series he’s like “wow I should exercise more… why did I not exercise before I started doing all of this running and jumping??… I NEED to work out… crap the only thing I’ve lifted in the past 12 years is my phone HELP ME… as I run to my death, I think of all the various reasons why working out would benefit me… Butler I promise I will exercise after this pls just let me survive”
but then over the course of EIGHT ENTIRE BOOKS he never actually manages to work out once, and if that’s not some A+ self-destructive procrastination then I don’t know what is

Oh, that’s a hard one. My introduction to fanfic was rather random. Basically, an online friend had confessed a weakness to *NSYNC RPF, and she linked me to fic. I didn’t even like *NSYNC at the time. I recall my other early fandoms for fanfic were LoTR and Ronin Warriors, although I didn’t favour any particular ship. My first actual OTP I can remember shipping and promptly seeking out fic for was Remus/Sirius.
I’m pretty sure it was Artemis/Holly from the Artemis Fowl series.
