(( Hey all… sorry this isn’t a bat post.

I just learned this morning that my baby girl Jitter has mammary carcinoma… and she needs surgery this Wednesday in order to save her. They caught it early and have high hopes for her, but I have no way of affording the surgery… Spot just passed away on the 22nd, and Jitter’s previous vet visits to be diagnosed has left us with zero funds. I have no job despite my hunting, and no commissions have been even inquired on.

I started a gofundme for her. I don’t have any other way to save her… Please. If you can, anything, even just spreading the word, will help so much..

An update on my baby girl and the effort to save her.

Thank you to everyone who has liked and reblogged this so far. Thank you to everyone who has donated, commissioned, and sent well wishes. We just passed half way towards affording Jitter’s surgery!

I can not thank you all enough for everything so far. I can not save my baby girl alone, but you all have given me so much hope. You have given my whole family hope that we can save her.

Jitter has been sleeping and mostly dormant for today. I made sure she got up to eat and drink some, and tempted her with her favorite treats. 

She came into my room for a little bit and we sat on the floor together. I gently rested my forehead against hers, and we just took a moment there. Everything has been happening so quickly… 

As of 9pm we’ve entered the time window where she can not have any more food or water. To take her mind off the sudden change, she has been getting many neck ruffles and behind the ear petting.  

Please, if you can, continue to help signal boost and spread the word. Every bit helps, and is greatly appreciated.

bathtub cat strikes back

let me tell you about my cat.

She’s quite pretty and cute (that’s why she’s called Bajadera like the Croatian sweet cookie) and also quite old (about 11-13 cos she’s a rescue cat and we are not sure how really old she is. She might be 20 :P).

So she loved spending time in our bathtub. That was her absolutely fav place even if bathtub was old and ugly and I hated it. This July we had a major bathroom renovation and the bathtub had to go. Now we have a very nice, shiny shower.

Bajadera doesn’t like the shower (even if it’s so cool!).

But… she likes the new sink. My absolutely perfect, pretty, square sink I chose myself.

She probably thinks we put it in the bathroom especially for her…

You can just imagine how my absolutely perfect, pretty sink looks like after she eventually leaves it. Full of hair, bits of cat litter etc.

We tried everything:

Putting water in it? Bajadera was so happy, she loves water and getting wet (and then everything else at home was wet)

Putting some towels? She thought we gave her a new blanket.

I was getting desperate, because my absolutely perfect, pretty sink wasn’t THAT perfect anymore (also now washing hands is quite an adventure, because when you remove the cat from the sink, the cat is back there before you turn around and assists you with your washing).

So my mum said we should put something bigger in the sink. Maybe a ball?

We did it.

Then there was a 15 minutes drama

Bajadera was walking around and complaining VERY LOUDLY what she thinks of us.

But then… then she decided she cannot be the selfish cat. And maybe the ball also loves the sink?

And Bajadera decided to share

ANY OTHER IDEA HOW CAN I GET MY SINK BACK AND DON’T HAVE TO WASH MY HANDS IN THE SHOWER????!!!!

I’m screaming??? So my cat knows I get upset when he steps on my paintings (not yelling or anything I think he just sees me spend hours trying to cover up what his paws do) in my “studio” which is a crammed small storage closet with painting all over the floor drying , so like I’m in there rn and I saw him try to get to point A to point b but it was impossible for him to jump over so like he realized the matte parts were dry and like he was stepping on the corners of the painting and every step he’d look at his paw to see if he fucked up and honestly it was the most thoughtful thing ever I don’t ever wanna hear anyone ever say that cats don’t care
