  • There will be a press conference later today which will release the time when they will publicly announce the jury’s decision.
  • The Grand Jury has been released.
  • Michael Brown’s parents have finally been notified that a decision has come. “We haven’t heard nothing from the prosecution office,” said Benjamin Crump, Attorney for Michael Brown’s family. They heard this news from the media first, even though they were promised to hear when there was a decision before it was made public. The family was shocked that they weren’t notified beforehand.
  • Possible charges: First degree murder. Second degree murder. Voluntary manslaughter. Involuntary manslaughter. Or there can be no charges.
  • Many businesses in near Ferguson have closed down today out of concern for safety.
  • Michael Brown’s parents said that remain hopeful about the inditement but they will go forward with further action if Wilson is let off.
  • It appears that the official decision will no be announced until after dark. However, there will be an announcement coming soon which will give a time that another announcement is happening. That second announcement will give the official time when the decision will be released to the public.
  • The members identity of the Grand Jury will remain secret.
  • Michael’s Brown family is asking for a 4 1/2 minute moment of silence tonight immediately after the final announcement is made. The 4 1/2 minutes directly represents the 4 1/2 hours that Michael Brown was left dead in the street.
  • At 4 p.m central time an official press conference will be held. It will release the time that the jury’s decision will be publicly announced.

[I’ll be watching the news all day today and updating.]

Michael Brown’s dad hands out turkeys to residents amid on-going protests

An uneasy quiet settled over Ferguson, Missouri, on Saturday evening after another day without a decision from a grand jury on whether to bring charges against a white police officer for fatally shooting a black teen, 18-year-old Michael Brown.

On Saturday, the dead teenager’s father, Michael Brown, and some of the family’s supporters handed out Thanksgiving turkeys to residents in the street where his son was gunned down. Many were surprised when he knocked on their doors.

“I had to come and just give back to the people,” Brown told reporters. He wore a red T-shirt bearing a picture of his son’s face and the messages “Gone Too Soon” and “I Will always Love You.”

“Everyone is suffering over this,” he added. “I just feel that this was needed, so I came back to make sure that people have a nice Thanksgiving.”

“For 104 days, the police have lied and said Mike Brown was killed 35 feet away from Darren Wilson’s SUV. It was actually 148 feet.

This distance is essential to the defense and how Darren Wilson must demonstrate that he “reasonably feared for his safety.” At the point in which Mike Brown ran half a football field away, how reasonable is it for an armed officer to fear anyone?”

Police lied. Mike Brown was killed 148 feet away from Darren Wilson’s SUV
