THREE OF MY BEST FRIENDS, ALL OF WHO ARE UNDER 18, ARE CURRENTLY AT THE PROTESTS AGAINST DARREN WILSON IN LOS ANGELES AND ARE BEING TRAPPED BY POLICE IN FULL RIOT GEAR. THEY HAVE NO WHERE TO GO AND COULDN’T LEAVE EVEN THEY WANTED TO. THEY WERE CHASED TWO BLOCKS BY POLICE IN RIOT GEAR. THEY ARE BEING HIT BY POLICE WITH BATONS FOR FILMING AND TAKING PICTURES.
THE LOS ANGELES POLICE DEPARTMENT IS NOT PROTECTING THE PEOPLE. THEY ARE HURTING THE PEOPLE. THEY ARE BEATING UP TEENAGERS WHO ARE JUST THERE TO SUPPORT SOMETHING THEY BELIEVE IN. THIS IS ALL FUCKED UP.
please watch this and reblog this. the jury was fooled into thinking that darren wilson was permitted by law to kill michael brown simply for attempting to run from him. and that was the law, yes, until 1985.
UPDATE ON TEAR GAS INFORMATION – MILK INEFFECTIVE, SPREADS BACTERIA

Milk is naturally acidic (actually) and thus acts to disrupt the Ph balance of the eye. Not that serious. Except that people who are sticking milk in spray bottles and then carrying them around for hours are usually not also lugging fridges around, so the milk spoils or begins to spoil (since pasteurization only keeps things kosher when it’s in it’s original sealed container). So people then basically spray bacteria into their eyes which IS REALLY NOT GOOD. THIS CAN LEAD TO EYE INFECTIONS.
NOT TO MENTION IT JUST DOESN’T WORK
As advised by both the CDC and the Action Medic Wikia (a collection of groups that attend protests and dispense first aid and first responder care) THIS is the proper protocol for responding to chem weapons:
PREPARE: Do not wear contacts (they trap the pepper spray and can adhere to your eye), stay as unexposed as possible (the less skin showing = the less skin burning), and BRING A WATER BOTTLE WITH A GOOD SQUIRT TOP (you should be able to aim and squirt at a target with it)
1) Stay calm and get away from source – panic only makes things worse, pepper spray hurts a lot but it’s very survivable! Get to somewhere that you can sit down and treat yourself/be treated
2) Rinse, rinse, rinse – Put that squirty bottle to use! Chem weapons attack mucous membranes, so rinse your mouth, nose, and eyes. This may take several rinses until to clear away. Here is a action medic how-to video on doing a proper eye rinse. Even if you don’t ever expect to be pepper sprayed, knowing how to rinse eyes is a great skill to have! Eyes are delicate, and it’s easy to get irritants in there— even around the house (hot sauce, icy hot, tiger balm, meat spices, pepper, lemon juice- not fun!)
3) Hit the showers! – the pepper spray may be out of your eyes, but it’s still in those clothes! Get home and get naked ASAP, touching the least amount of things in your home possible. Stick everything in a plastic bag and toss it (you can try and save it, but thats a lot of work for another day). TAKE SEVERAL COLD SHOWERS. Chem weapons bind to the skin and hot showers will open up those pores, making it feel like you’re getting sprayed all over again. Lather, rinse, repeat and repeat again.
I have been a member of Chicago Action Medical which has existed and been providing medical care at protests and political actions since 2002. We currently have people on the ground in Ferguson and were the main medic collective sending folks down there to train native St. Louis medics.

Things You Will Not See on ABC This Morning:
—A group of SEVERAL HUNDRED (confirmed) No Justice No Peace protesters have been marching the side streets of the parade route since 12am.

—At least four arrests have been made (POC, of course) (www.youtube.com/watch?v=8aF6A77ih_4). Neville Watson, Matthew Martinez, Calvin Griffin are the only names I could find. Crowdsourcing funds were immediately set up for their bail.
—One violent altercation has occurred between police and protesters on 37th and 7th.
—Those listening to police scanners have confirmed that the police have instructed news outlets NOT to show protesters. (7:14am)
—Make that six arrests. Two more were JUST made in a violent altercation on 37th. (10:27am) Batons were used. Cannot confirm whether a protester or cop was the instigator.
—What little coverage these protests are receiving refers to these protesters as “agitators” and “anarchists.”

Let’s take a moment to take your law apart and analyze it:
Darren Wilson chose not to carry a non-lethal weapon as well because it was not the most comfortable thing

Mike Brown was unarmed
these are Darren Wilson’s so-called injuries (THEY EVEN TRIED PASSING OFF A BIRTHMARK AS AN INJURY)
Darren Wilson stopped Mike Brown for jaywalking, and he had no information about him supposedly robbing a convenience store. The store owner even said that nobody reported a robbery and he doubts that it was Mike Brown who shoplifted 48 dollar worth of items from his store. No matter what the police tells you, no matter if they claim Darren Wilson responded to a call, no matter how many witnesses they ignore, we still have the word of the store owner and his clerks, which they gave out publicly.
Mike Brown supposedly attacked Darren Wilson. Darren Wilson decided not to use mace that he said he had on him, but to shoot Mike Brown 6 times.
Unarmed Mike Brown was no threat to anyone. Even if he struggled for the gun, which I highly doubt, he was shot from a distance, which suggests he was running away. From my understanding, he was first shot in his forearm, from the back, while he was running away. Then he turned around and was shot in his upper arm, while he was still standing. He was shot in his chest while he was falling down and in his head, while he was already down. This was proven by Cyril Wecht, and if you do not know who he is, look him up. He worked many high-profile cases and is excellent in his line of work. Do watch his explanation.
Darren Wilson is a trained police officer. He was trained to work under pressure and to know how to react in such situations. He is in no way an inexperienced young cop (or a 5 year old) who could have reacted wrongly because he never found himself in a similar situation. He is a grown man who described Mike Brown as looking like demon to justify his actions.
An unarmed 18 year old child. It. A demon. Hulk Hogan. And he said he would do it again. He would shoot dead an 18 year old boy who was running away from him.
Throwing this in as well because it’s important and not enough people are talking about it.
Not to mention, Darren Wilson’s most vocal supporters, the KKK. And he’s being investigated himself about being connected to them in ways he shouldn’t have been.
And in case you failed to read this anywhere else (624 black men if you do the math):

YOU DO NOT SHOOT UNARMED BOYS UNTIL THEY STOP MOVING

A lot of the buildings being burned down and destroyed in Ferguson are owned by black owners. It’s the KKK’s work. A couple of looters aside, the actual protesters are not harming anyone or anything. Nothing is sacred to them.

he RECOMMENDED that charges be levied (felony assault) against this black officer, and did everything in his power to assure that wilson was let off for murder
mike brown was killed 15 days after gore was charged
uh… news stations are kind of brushing over the fact that 20 year old deandre joshua was found dead last night only yards from where michael brown died. he was shot in the head and set on fire… they’re blaming it on the riots but no one really knows what happened and it sounds a lot like a hate crime
He was the best friend of the #1 witness of Michael Brown’s murder and this was not a coincidence. Now is the time to be very very afraid
So today people in my city (Nashville, TN) gathered to protest the Darren Wilson decision & started at the police headquarters. The police then not only protected them (stopping traffic in the highways the protestors closed etc), but also set out table with hot chocolate and other things for them. This is how the police should be reacting across our country when injustices like this happen. They should be fighting with the people, not against them.
