You mean earlier on when he’s ready to straight smoke a dude in the front lobby of his apartment building? I love this movie and how it, somehow, transitioned perfectly from that vaguely noir beginning to a full on motorcycle chase involving tanks and a hawk and the good captain in a dress.
yeah i couldn’t find a good screenshot of the actual scene that would capture without context that feeling of, “this has been a fun cartoon hardy boys mystery setup about a ship in a bottle, but now there is a strange man on tintin’s doorstep, and tintin’s first instinct is to pull out his fucking gun“
which is totally reasonable considering the shit tintin gets up to and yet it’s still so startling that i always forget it happens and i always start laughing myself to tears
