i wish more people said that being single is normal
and you’re not going to meet and marry someone

and if marriage happens, it happens. and it’s not the next big ticket to check off in life’s checklist
because not everyone meets someone they want to marry. and that’s normal
you’re not broken or unfulfilled if you are single
friendly reminder that you don’t have to justify self-care with suffering. you don’t have to be feeling down to give yourself permission to spend the night home alone with that book you’ve been dying to read. you don’t have to earn that piece of chocolate with a hard day at work. you don’t have to run yourself ragged before you deserve a bubble bath. you don’t need to wait for a disaster to be nice to yourself.
like i want shitty jewish folk to be held accountable for their shittiness but yeah i have a huge fucking problem with gentiles obviously looking to justify their own antisemitism by bringing up the jewishness of shitty jews regardless of its relevance while ignoring the jewishness of jews they like because that’s just too much cognitive dissonance for them
The “you need allies to survive” is an explicit threat and a pretty good sign someone isn’t an ally. They’re basically threatening to withdraw their support for your basic humanity and survival if you don’t lick their boots.

A shout out to all the people who didn’t have a happy Christmas. To those who had to work, or are depressed, or lost someone and are celebrating without them for the first time. To those who couldn’t afford a big meal or the presents you wish you could have given others. To those who couldn’t be with their families, or who had to be and wish they were anywhere else.
You’re not alone. Remember that social media posts are not reality and that everyone else in the world is not having the perfect day you would kill for. You can get through this.
why dont we ever talk about how movies condition girls to associate glasses and curly hair with ugliness because that is so fucking damaging to young girls who grow up seeing girls who look like them always be the “before” of every makeover

guys….be careful who you talk to and trust on the internet. i know we’re all super casual about it now and give people our numbers and feel like best friends but you can be fooled. if someone is pressuring you about something you’re not comfortable with, if they’re giving you bad vibes, if they’re secretive about who they are, take a step back and look at it objectively.
