Neighbors call police to a Suburb in McKinney,Texas when they learn that a family Invited “too many Black People” to their pool party . Cops Brutalize only black kids.

A McKinney police officer has been placed on administrative leave after a video that had surfaced online of an officer responding to a disturbance at a pool party in Craig Ranch with violence aimed only at the black teens.

The video shows the officer pulling a 14-year-old girl down and shoving her face first on the ground. When several other teenagers tried to help their friend, the video shows the officer pulling out his weapon and aiming it at them. The teenage girl could be heard screaming on the video, “I want to call my mom!!”

Witnesses stated they felt the officer acted inappropriately when dealing with the teenagers.

The neighbors however, said given the situation, they felt the officers “did what was necessary.”

Welcome to America. A country where pulling a gun on a group of kids and shoving them to the ground for “talkin shit” by a police officer is worth it.

Memorial Tree Planted In Michael Brown’s Name Is Cut Down In Ferguson; it’s memorial stone is also missing  – On Saturday morning the living tree memorial was planted in Michael Brown Jr.’s name at the January Wabash Memorial Park located in Ferguson. The tree was donated by the Black Caucus of the American Library Association. FULL ARTICLE

This is what racists do to dead Black people. It’s not enough that Mike is dead and his killer got off. They continue to desecrate over and over again.

I fucking knew this would happen. The first article I saw about the memorial, I thought it would already be an article about somebody doing this.

Can people donate to have a huge towering steel marker put up instead?

No one has to buy your stuff.

So, this thing with Vox Day getting a Hugo nomination – if you think he’s a dick and don’t want to vote for him, there are people who are going “Wah wah, you are being anti-art if you hold a creator’s views against him or her. And if you are not 100% consistent about these decisions, you are just an emotional thinker.” Like, people who spend a lot of time droning on social media about how logical all their decisions are are just like Mr Spock.

Except Mr Spock wouldn’t waste his time.

No one has to buy your work, or vote for you, or like you. The consumer makes the final choice, and if that choice includes not buying your stuff because your politics tell them that black people are savages, or that the world would be better off if women don’t get an education, shocker that people decide to put their money in some other artist’s pocket so it doesn’t go to creators with a bank account which feeds organizations that undermine your human rights.

Crazy, I know.

When you buy the work of a creator who actively harms the human rights of others, and your argument is The Work Before All, it says to me that a short story is more important than the rights of marginalized people. That is your right, and it is my right to disagree. I am not sending the big bad government to get you, I am not censoring anybody. I am simply making a choice about what books I want to read, what music I want to hear, and how I want to frame the world with my eyes. I have no obligation to frame it according to the dictates of some dude who thinks me and all people like me should live our lives as voiceless servants.

There are a lot of creators whose work I won’t buy, from Woody Allen on down. There are many creators who are long dead who have nasty personal views whose work I buy since their estates aren’t getting any money. There are some creators who have done and said some boneheaded things, who get a pass from me because I know that the slice of what became public is not the whole person.

I make my purchase decisions as I go. If some dork wants to dismiss that as “emotional”, I don’t give a shit. Because among my more unemotional decisions is not letting people whose opinion I don’t respect in the first place dictate what I do with what’s in my wallet.

My money, my choice. Your choice, too.

A honking huge list of articles with comments by Vox Day about how white men don’t rape, acid attacks keep women in their place, and lots more. Thanks to Dr Nerdlove for the link.

Here is a discussion thread in favor of Vox Day. http://www.transterrestrial.com/?p=54639

And another against.

Now with a link to why Vox Day is the actual scum of the earth.

THIS.

wait wait wait how exactly am I supposed to make an “unemotional decision” there

liking a work is an emotion

participating in these things and supporting creators is a thing based on purely emotions of liking them

like I don’t even get what ‘emotional’ means here as in, what’s the other option????

It’s a silencing technique – if you get emotional about their bigotry and hatred, then clearly you are irrational and therefore must be taught the error of your ways and you are not to be listened to. It’s hypocritical, too, because they certainly get emotional when the “wrong people” write stories/get on ballots.  It’s like how when someone is being an absolute jerkwad to you and pissing you off and how the moment you react in some way that is not 100% emotionless they claim victory and therefore you lose, they win, they’re better than you.

Also, note how often this kind of technique is used against the person with less societal power in the exchange (ie, women, PoC, queer folks, etc)

BREAKING: The University of Oklahoma Releases The Results Of Their Investigation Into The Racist SAE Fraternity Chant, The Results Are Damning For SAE Fraternities Nationwide

The University of Oklahoma has released findings of the Office of Student Affairs investigation into the racist chant video that got two students expelled.

OU said the chant was learned by local Sigma Alpha Epsilon members on a national leadership cruise sponsored by the SAE organization four years ago. It was then brought back and taught to pledges.

OU President David Boren said that evidence pointed to the chant being widely known amongst members on the leadership cruise. However, Boren said there was no evidence that the chant was formally taught throughout the organization nationally.

A number of students seen singing in the racist video had been consuming alcohol, according to OU. A number of high school students were on board the bus as a part of recruitment activities.

The SAE fraternity at OU was disbanded as a result of the video.

As a result of the investigation, Boren said he wanted to know the answers to two questions:

Has the national SAE organization undertaken any investigation to determine the extent to which the chant is being taught in or disseminated by individual chapters across the nation?

If such an investigation has been conducted, what steps have been taken by the national SAE organization to remedy the situation?

The only way the national SAE organization can remedy this situation is by disbanding this racist ass frat.

like we didn’t already know this even before the video lmfao but yaaaaas

#Every28Hours (2/23/15): Meet Janisha. Janisha was involved in a domestic dispute with her girlfriend, which resulted in her girlfriend calling the police to take her in for a mental health evaluation. Janisha’s girlfriend warned the officer’s upon entry into their apartment that she had a knife, but the she didn’t believe that she would hurt them, stressing again that Janisha was unstable and needed evaluation. When Janisha did not drop the knife, an officer proceeded to shoot her twice. According to Janisha’s neighbors she was a quiet and small young woman, barely standing above five feet. According to her girlfriend, Janisha was more than 6 feet away from the cops who shot her. Janisha’s story is not an easy one, but she deserved a chance at life, not a bullet when she needed help. Uplift her name. Janisha Fonville, we fight for you now too. #staywoke #farfromover

ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME!!!!

How depressing. How come non-poc with mental illnesses are better taken care of? It just doesn’t make sense- It’s so sickening how society has cease to have changed.

White people can shoot up fucking public schools and movie theaters, be of perfect mental state, actually charge the fucking cops and live. AND STILL GET AWAY WITH IT
Fuck y’all. I’m done.

but watch how everyone is gonna reblog the story as though the fake ID shit is 100% facts just like they did with Eric Garner selling untaxed cigarettes becoming “reason to choke him to death”. the reason for the arrest could be as small as rolling your eyes at a cop and they’ll justify it because any excuse is as good as the others when it comes to violently and many times lethally apprehending black people..

the governor of virginia is launching a full investigation on what happened to martese and he does not support the use of force

uva also supports martese (x) (x)

ERIC GARNERS STEP-DAD SAYS COP WHO KILLED SON DID SO IN RETALIATION BECAUSE OF ‘VENDETTA’ HE HAD FOR YEARS & COMPLAINT FILED

According to a new interview with Eric Garners stepdad, Benjamin Carr, which we have on videoCarr tells us that police didn’t show up that day because Garner broke up a fight or sold cigarettes; they were there because police had a history of harassing Garner. It was also confirmed with a member of Garner’s family that Eric Garner was frequently harassed by these officers, and it goes much deeper than money. Garner had actually been sexually assaulted by the NYPD, on multiple occasions. In fact, in the choking video Eric clearly says

“Every time you see me, you want to mess with me. I’m tired of it. It stops today. I’m minding my business please just leave me alone,”

Carr even says in the interview that the cops told Garner that the real reason they were confronting him was “a personal matter.” (you can see this clearly in the choking video)

Wait. It gets worse.

officer Daniel Pantaleo, the man who was responsible for Garner’s death, has been sued three times for violating the constitutional rights of other black males in the area, by performing humiliating strip searches and fondling the genitalia of his victims, some of them in public view, including:

  • A lawsuit that was just filed in November and comes from Kenneth Collins, who says in the lawsuit that he “was subjected to a degrading search of his private parts and genitals by the defendants.”
  • An incident where The NYPD paid out a settlement last year to two men who sued the city because Pantaleo forced them to strip naked in public as he “touched and searched their genital areas, or stood by while this was done in their presence.”

So to sum things up:

  1. The NYPD (especially Daniel Pantaleo) have been following/frisking/stopping Eric Garner for years (So a bunch of grown men have been stalking this man for no reason)
  2. Eric Garner stated on several occasions to families and friends that he has been sexually harassed by the very police officer whos has had THREE other sexual harassment lawsuits filed against him.
  3. about a month before his death, Garner stated he was sick of being bullied by these police so he filed a complaint to the NYPD for an incident where they “shook him down for money ” and “sexual harassed” him (again).
  4. After multiple tries to confirm this complaint against the NYPD by reaching out to their Staten Island precinct, and their police department they were put on hold for excessive amount of hours, hung up on, and eventually ignored all together.
  5. Several family members and close friends of Garner say that the police were already at the scene before Eric even arrived, ready to cause trouble, and think they were there “to jump him.” because of the complaint he filed.

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist or a detective to figure out what happened here. This wasn’t just an accident this was a plan.

“Those who identify as ‘otaku’ [i.e. anime and manga fandom] sicken me deeply. Anime was a mistake, it’s nothing but trash.”
— Hayao Miyazaki

The great Miyazaki is somewhat famous for his sweeping dismissals, but I believe there’s political substance behind his curt condemnations of mainstream culture.

Miyazaki abhors a certain strain of Japanese nationalism which has seen something of a resurgence in recent years and crept into the chaotic free-for-all of anime and manga storytelling. He’s been a vocal critic of prime minister Shinzō Abe’s politics, including the denial of Japanese war crimes and sex slavery, the ceremonial honouring of Japanese war criminals, and the proposal to amend the Constitution to re-introduce the possibility of war.

As it stands, the Constitution of Japan includes the remarkable Article 9 which outlaws war — a measure which was forcefully imposed by the US after dropping two atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Needless to say, there’s something twisted about achieving a ban on war by means of an atomic holocaust; but Miyazaki, a child of World War II and its horrors, supports the ban.

Miyazaki is equally critical of the US. When “Spirited Away” won an Oscar in 2003, he refused to travel to Hollywood to accept the award, later explaining “I didn’t want to visit a country that was bombing Iraq”.

So I don’t think Miyazaki is simply being an eccentric moody artist when he says things like “Anime was a mistake, it’s nothing but trash”. I think he has specific opinions and critiques of craft and storytelling, message and values, politics and culture, as conveyed by art.

that’s actually why i despise it when western anime fans reblog the quote “anime was a mistake”. not only is it just irritating, but they have no idea what it actually entails in their western frame of view.

anime is largely bad. yeah. a lot of it provides for largely a older male audience and includes a lot of fetishism and blatant imperialist content.

how many times have any of you seen scenes in anime where the background changes to something similar to sun rays to show motivation? how many of you know that it’s a direct reference to the rising sun flag. the flag in which the “asian holocaust” was created under. how many times have you actually seen the flag outright in anime?

how many of you still praise ouran highschool host club when they literally portrayed feminists as nazis, which is bad enough but considering japan’s past?

how many of you watch attack on titan, which is pure imperialist propaganda?

how many of you, yeah our followers as well, watch hetalia? the whole premise of the show being nazi and imperialist apologism and when the creator literally said before that he thinks that the rest of asia wants to/should be under imperial japanese rule again.

how many of you watch anime that has a shallow chinese or korean character(s) or a sexy korean/chinese girl in a bastardized, revealing rendition of their traditional dress?

yeah. most of anime is shit. it’s total trash for what a huge portion of the industry has stood for, producing widespread scenes of rape, pedophilia, fetishism. it continues to promote either borderline to outright nationalistic attitudes, and still dehumanizes chinese and korean characters.

“ but does it matter?” you ask. it matters when there are still marches in japan happening this decade that celebrate hitler’s birthday. that there are still marches this decade that promote the drowning of chinese and koreans in the bays and killing us.

what happened to japan as a nation during the meiji reformation and after the war with the occupation was inhumane. there’s not excuse for it. but imperialism is still alive and well in japan.

and huge portions of the anime industry is built off it.

this is why i hate white western fans reblog this quote out of context. this is why i hate all of you saying “i hate anime teehee” as you marathon snk and no game no life on kissanime.

because you don’t. you’re joking. there are real reasons to hate the industry. and you’re turning it into a joke. you call yourselves “weebs” to “reclaim” the term, purposefuly ignoring how so many **young** asian people have been harmed by the term. japanese people being sexually assaulted by white self proclaimed weebs with yellow fever in their own country. little fucking kids stalked online and in real life by self proclaimed weebs with loli/shotacon fetishes. then you log onto tumblr and say that it’s “not really pedophilia” over fanart like it’s not part of one big system. somewhere out there, a young asian girl may be crying after being forced to webcam at the age of 9.

and if you did mean it, then what? if you did mean you hated it, then what? you hate it for every reason but a right one.

you’re not addressing a problem by reblogging that quote as a joke. you’re part of it.

All above reasons why anime as a whole makes me really uncomfortable and why I avoid it/don’t go out of my way to watch it.

This is also why it was in SUCH godawful taste when Zen-Pencils did that whole story arc in which Miyazaki pilots a giant anime mecha to destroy a “hate monster” made out of people who criticize art.

Miyazaki is worshiped like a god by geeks and yet he believes exactly what they don’t want to hear: that the shit they love and the industry producing it are overflowing with toxic behavior and dehumanizing attitudes.
