But that leaves me with one part time job unless I can find another employer in my area willing to work with my current schedule.

For non-trans people who think, “eh, that’s sad, but it only affects a tiny fraction of the people,” NO IT DOESN’T – this is laying the groundwork for discrimination against women by declaring that it’s okay to treat the sexes differently. If everyone has the same rights, it doesn’t matter what gender someone is.
They’re claiming that it’s not discrimination to fire a trans woman for wearing skirts, because it’s not discrimination to say that only women can wear skirts and men must wear pants. They want to claim that sex-specific policies aren’t innately a form of discrimination – meaning they want to be able to say, “women must wear skirts; men must wear pants; this is equivalent treatment;” they want to be able to say, “women must smile at the customers; men don’t need to (oh maybe we can say men have to shake hands with customers if they’re receptionists),” and so on.
To erode women’s rights, first they have to erase trans rights, because their whole hierarchy is based on WHITE MEN ON TOP and they can’t establish that if the definition of “men” keeps changing on them. If someone who used to be labeled a “man” is now a woman, or vice versa, their claim that men are just innately more suited to be in charge, falls apart.

You can’t do anything to affect the courts, but you can:
VOTE next Tuesday (or before, if you have that option);
Treat trans women as women, trans men as men;
If you misgender someone, apologize and make an effort to remember the correct term;
Call out mistreatment when you see it, including in jokes – “I don’t think that’s funny; could you explain it to me?”
Refuse to help with mistreatment if it’s part of your job – delay getting things done, lose paperwork, correct people’s genders on forms if they’ve been switched, and so on.
she didn’t lose her internship because “her friends” used a hashtag, she lost it because a bunch of 4chan fuckers found out she’s trans and decided to doxx her and harass her employer about the ~image~ she was sending. like this wasn’t her public face account, she wasn’t spouting racist garbage, she mistook someone in her mentions for one of the randos she gets regularly harassed by (because, yknow, if someone tweets “language” at you on twitter, 99.9% of the time they’re not actually concerned for you) and transphobes used the opportunity to fuck up her life. it’s great that hickam is behind her on this but a lot of people are sharing this and laughing at how hilarious it is that “a furry got fired for swearing”, which is the smokescreen being used to cover how this was doxxing a trans woman to ruin her potential career
the narratives about trans people having “never been their assigned gender” and the like is valid but tbh it’s not something i can really relate to. like of course it’s a valid and often expeirenced concept but i was never “a guy socialized as a girl”. i was a girl until i realized i was trans. i do understand misogyny and oppression against women because until not too long ago i was a woman. to constantly frame these issues as black and white like that just feels incredibly silencing and invalidating
not everybody knows they’re trans from early on in their life, and realizing you’re trans doesn’t invalidate all your experiences regarding your gender prior to that point
because this post has been going around i want to reiterate: this is a no-terf zone. any terf who thinks they can use this to exclude trans women from their spaces may not live to regret it but they’ll know enough to die in fear!

One of the best jokes from the original series has been cast aside? But for what purpose?! What purpose could casting aside a distinct speaking style? Perhaps they thought to save time? When that speaking style served to save both time and extend time in the original series, it was apparently thought modern viewers would not have the attention span for such speech patterns?
